Limit Breaks: Tifa

Tifa’s Limit Breaks are somewhat different than those of other characters. She will use each of the Limit Breaks that she has in succession, either hitting, missing or getting a critical hit, depending on your success at the slot reels that appear when she first uses her Limit Break.

Each of the descriptions below mentions that the Limit Break hits one enemy, but each of her attacks will hit one random enemy on the battlefield as it cycles through the Limit Breaks that she has obtained.

Level 1

Beat Rush
How to obtain it:
This is the Limit Break that Tifa starts the game with.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.25x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Somersault
How to obtain it:
Use Beat Rush a total of 9 times in battle.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.375x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Level 2

Waterkick
How to obtain it:
Defeat 96 enemies in battle.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.5x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Meteodrive
How to obtain it:
Use Waterkick a total of 7 times in battle.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.625x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Level 3

Dolphin Blow
How to obtain it:
Defeat 96 enemies in battle after you have obtained Waterkick.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.75x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Meteor Strike
How to obtain it:
Use Dolphin Blow a total of 6 times in battle.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 1.875x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Level 4

Final Heaven
How to obtain it:
Use the Final Heaven item on Tifa after she has learned all of her other Limit Breaks. Final Heaven can be obtained by revisiting Tifa’s home town of Nibelheim and completing a small side quest. Check out the Returning to Nibelheim side quest page.
Effect:
Deals damage to a single enemy. It does 2.625x the normal damage that Tifa’s weapon does when using the Attack command.

Packing a Punch

You will also receive the Packing a Punch Trophy once you teach Tifa her Level 4 Limit Break, Final Heaven, using the Final Heaven item that you can obtain in Nibelheim.
