Luca is one of the earliest towns that Yuna and her crew will visit after she begins her pilgrimage. Luca is a coastal port city with a Blitzball stadium that plays host to Spira’s Blitzball tournaments. The team will ride the S.S. Winno in order to get there and it is connected to the Mi’ihen Highroad on its north side.
The story of the game takes you through Luca just the one time, but there are a number of side quests that can be completed in Luca. For starters, refer to the Luca section of the walkthrough and strategy guide if this is your first time passing through the area:
The first side quest that you can begin in this area is the Luca Sphere Theater. You technically can’t purchase all of the Music and Movie Spheres during your first pass through, but the entirety of this side quest is completed in this area:
While you can technically play Blitzball tournaments and league games using any Save Sphere, the Blitzball side quest technically begins as soon as you enter (and leave) Luca for the first time. Check out the Blitzball section for more information:
