The story has the team visit Rabanastre several times during a playthrough:
- The first visit at the beginning of the game.
- The second visit after Vaan has defeated the Rogue Tomato.
- The third visit after the team has rescued Basch from the Barheim Passage.
- The fourth visit after the events aboard The Shiva.
- The fifth visit after clearing the Stilshrine of Miriam.
