Opening cinematic for the battle against Raktavija for Mission 47

The battle against Raktavija is very similar to Vetala. It will begin the fight by immediately casting “Inertial Barrier” which will prevent most damage from getting through. After that, it will begin hitting your party with high-level magic spells three at a time using an attack called “Multicast”.

Raktavija using its Inertial Barrier move at the beginning of the battle

There are two goals that you should focus on at the outset of the fight. The first is to apply buffs to your party members and debuffs to Raktavija. The second is to build up a Chain Bonus to Stagger it as quickly as possible (and debuffs from a Saboteur will help this).

Adjusting your paradigms may prove to be quite helpful for this fight. You may want to try starting off in a paradigm you may not have used before called “Prudent Planning” which (Fang as a Sentinel, Hope and Lightning both as Synergists) to get buffs applied to your party as quickly as possible. Having Fang in her Sentinel role will just reduce the damage she takes while the buffs are applied.

Once fully buffed (Haste, Bravery, Faith, Shell) switch over to Safe Subversion (Fang and Hope as Saboteurs and Lightning as a Medic) to get debuffs applied as quickly as possible. Slow will reduce some of the incoming damage while Imperil and Deprotect will greatly increase the damage done to Raktavija once its “Inertial Barrier” has been removed after you Stagger it.

Be prepared to move into an all out offensive once it’s Staggered and aim to take it down as quickly as possible.
