Deceptisol Canceling is a trick that makes use of one of the four Shrouds that are available in the game. For more information on the Shrouds and how to use them, check out the tips and tricks section for Shrouds:
This trick takes advantage of the fact that if you engage in a battle with an enemy after using a Shroud and then you select the “Retry” option your Shroud will be returned to your inventory and you can use it again. This allows you to use 
Aegisols and Fortisols over and over again if you are struggling with a fight.
The Deceptisol trick uses this same effect to your advantage to sneak past enemies that you don’t want to engage in battle with. You can use a Deceptisol Shroud by pressing the 
Button, run past the enemy, and then engage the enemy from behind. Quickly select the “Retry” button and your character will re-enter the main world behind where the enemy was situated so you can skip past it. You will also still have the Deceptisol in your inventory.
Remember that any battles you skip past is also a loss of Crystogen Points (CP) for your party members so don’t get in the habit of overusing this trick.
