Synthesized abilities can be acquired by equipping different equipment combinations to your character. Unfortunately, there’s no real way within the game to know which weapon or accessory combinations will trigger a synthesized ability so you will likely need a strategy guide like this one in order to take advantage of these various abilities.
Weapons and accessories are categorized into Synthesized Ability Categories. The synthesized ability will sometimes become more powerful if you equip more of the equipment from that category. For example, equipping 
Silver Bangle and Platinum Bangle will enable the “Physical Wall: 5” synthesized ability, while equipping a Power Wristband as well will upgrade the synthesized ability to “Physical Wall: 10”.
Note that you can only have a maximum of two synthesized abilities at any time no matter which weapons or accessories you equip.
