Rare Card Locations
The following list includes cards from pages 8, 9, and 10, which are the Guardian Force cards and the Player cards. These three pages of cards collectively make up the high-level rare cards, and you can’t find these rare cards by playing games against regular card players.
If you missed any of these cards, you can still manage to pick them up if you complete the CC-Group side quest before moving on to disc 4. Check out the Recovering Lost or Refined Cards guide in the Triple Triad section for more information.
Level 5 (Monster) Cards
You may have noticed that one card on page 5 seems to be missing. While it may not be a high-level card, the PuPu card involves an entire side quest to obtain…

Gilgamesh Card
You can obtain the Gilgamesh Card from the former Master King of the CC-Group (Dr. Kadowaki). Check out the CC-Group guide in the Side Quest section for more information.

If you miss the jogger as they run past, leave the screen and return, and they will run past again. Balamb Garden Walkthrough page for more information.

Odin Card
You receive the Odin card once you have defeated Odin in the Centra Ruins. Check out the Odin guide in the Side Quests section for more information.
An alternative method to obtain this card is to wait until the end of disc 4. Check out the Recovering Lost or Refined Cards page in the Triple Triad section for more information.

Alexander Card

Check out the Recovering Lost or Refined Cards guide in the Triple Triad section for more information.

Doomtrain Card
You can obtain the Doomtrain Card while completing the Queen of Cards side quest (check out the Queen of Cards guide in the Side Quests section). The owner of the pub in Timber holds the card. He is the one standing under the sign that morphs between a picture of a lady and a picture of a tiger. It can take a lot of card games before you see him use the Doomtrain Card, so be prepared.

Eden Card
You receive the Eden Card once you have defeated Ultima Weapon at the bottom of the Deep Sea Research Center. Alternatively, you can obtain this card by defeating CC-Group members aboard the Ragnarok on Disc 4 if you prefer not to defeat Ultima Weapon. Laguna Card
You can win the Laguna Card by challenging Ellone to a game of cards while you are on the Lunar Base.

Selphie Card
The Selphie Card is held by one of Selphie’s classmates at the ruins of Trabia Garden. Challenge the person sitting on the fountain. Quistis Card
The Quistis Card is the second-easiest rare card to obtain, and you can pick it up very early on in the game. To get your Ifrit Card back, you will have to travel to Fisherman’s Horizon (FH) and challenge Martine to a game of cards. Martine is the man sitting off to the side of the Mayor’s residence.

Edea Card
Edea holds her own card. Travel to Edea’s House after the battle against Galbadia Garden and challenge her to a game of cards. Due to the ridiculous card rules in effect for the region of Centra, it can be incredibly difficult to win Edea’s card from her. There are some tips and tricks to make it easier to obtain her card, which are listed on the walkthrough page.
