Shred is a Helm/Armored-type enemy that you can find in the Calm Lands. You need to capture five of each Helm/Armored-type enemy to unlock Tanket in the Species Conquest section of the Monster Arena.

Defeating Shreds is fairly easy, but you will most likely need to use either Auron or Kimahri with a weapon that has the Piercing auto-ability attached to it. Their regular attacks can cause the Slow status effect.

Scan	“Covered by a hard shell. Slow-moving, but has high physical and magic defense. Vulnerable to fire, but takes only half damage from other elements. Its Bash may inflict slow.”

You can find them over the Calm Lands. They are one of the easiest fiends to track down in this area.
