Tips and Tricks

  • The general pattern you should follow for each of these stages is to begin by using abilities that will charge up the Zantetsuken meter and then save a fully charged Zantetsuken for the next group of enemies you face. For example, for Stage 1-1, use Gungnir and Heaven’s Cloud, trying to hit as many enemies as you can, and then save Arm of Darkness / Zantetsuken for the next group of Hunters and Wolves to kill all of them instantly.
  • Your Zantetsuken charge can be carried from stage 1 to 2, 2 to 3, and from 3 to the final stage, so don’t waste it on an enemy that’s already low.
  • Triggering a Lunge while Arm of Darkness is active is a great way to charge up the Zantetsuken meter if you need a way to do it while your abilities are on cooldown. This works even better if you manage to hit more than one enemy.
  • Some players may find it easier to parry attacks than others (to trigger a “Steel Counter” for bonus points), but it’s generally not recommended to activate Arm of Darkness and leave it active for long unless you’re trying to fill the last remaining Zantetsuken charge.
