Moonflow
As soon as you enter the Moonflow, Buddy will contact Yuna via radio, mentioning that he dropped her off in the wrong place. The Mission for this area will begin as soon as you land.
Helpful Hint
While it’s generally advisable to fight fiends along the way and build up EXP, this Mission involves a lot of walking down long trails, and the fiends along the Moonflow Road give moderate amounts of EXP at best. This is a great opportunity to make use of one of your
Charm Bangles.
Also, did you know that you can equip a
Charm Bangle to a creature instead of equipping it to Yuna, Rikku, or Paine? This way you don’t have to go tracking down their old accessory when you swap the Charm Bangle back out, and you can keep the accessory active if you’re thrown into a mandatory battle. Check out the Equipping Creatures page in the Tips and Tricks section for more information.
Mission: Where’s Tobli?
Begin working your way down the Moonflow Road, and an Al Bhed man will stop you a short distance up ahead to ask whether you’ve seen Tobli. You’ll see Tobli scamper off down the trail leading towards the Moonflow.
Keep following the trail, and a few more cutscenes will play as the Al Bhed men slowly give up the chase, one by one. Continue following the path until you reach the bench with the
Save Sphere. This is as far as you can go before you have to turn around and march back down the trail.
Once again, follow the Moonflow Road all the way back to where Buddy dropped you off. There are a few more scenes that play out as you chase Tobli back down the path before he eventually speeds past you and the Al Bhed man on a scooter. Now head back towards the
Save Sphere again.
Helpful Hint
If your Publicity campaign hasn’t reached 400 points, this is the only location you can visit in Chapter 4. Speak to the NPCs along the Moonflow routes as you go through them to get some additional points if you need them.
Continue to the left of the
Save Sphere for another scene where Paine will confirm that Tobli crossed the Moonflow. Speak to the Hypello and cross the Moonflow on a Shoopuf. Head west from the Shoopuf dock and west again past the bench.
As you go around the corner, you’ll come across two Al Bhed men questioning whether Tobli climbed up into the trees. One of them will knock on the tree, causing Tobli to fall out and keep running toward Guadosalam. Keep on his trail!
This time, shifty Tobli will send a Shoopuf careening down the trail. This will cause the last Al Bhed debt collector to give up. Go the rest of the way towards Guadosalam to trigger a cutscene after finally catching up with him.
This completes the Mission, and you’ll receive a
Black Tabard Garment Grid as a reward.
Celsius
More scenes aboard the Celsius as the Hypello deploy themselves all over Spira to spread the news about the concert. Shinra will say “we’re still picking up lots of waves through the CommSpheres,” which is your tip-off that another wave of CommSphere viewing is coming soon.
Head to the cabin to kick off a “Rehearsal” mini-game.
Mini-Game: Rehearshal’s Shtarting?
The instructions for this mini-game are terrible. It’s actually way easier than the instructions make it out to be. All you have to do is watch the buttons/icons on the right side of the screen, under Rikku, and press the button that’s showing as many times as you can.

The game mentions the yellow and red musical symbols, but this doesn’t really matter, because you should be smashing those buttons whenever you see them, not trying to time them. Just press as quickly as possible!
Press the buttons quickly enough, and you’ll earn the following rewards:
| Total Groove Score | Prize |
|---|---|
| 0 to 49 | |
| 50 to 99 | |
| 100 to 149 | |
| 150 or more |
Shmooth Shailing works like a
Ribbon, but it also inflicts permanent “slow” on whichever character is wearing it, which really reduces its usefulness.
Save your game at the
Save Sphere, and then it’s time to view some more CommSpheres for “Wave 3.”
Checking the “Moonflow Complete” box adds the Story Completion Percent for the automatic scenes in Moonflow.
