- Description:

- Effect:

Antarctic Wind
- Description:
- “Uses “Ice2” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Ice2 magic on all targets. This will inflict ice-based magic on the target equal to roughly 1,200 HP.
Antidote
- Description:
- “Cures [Poison].”
- Effect:
- Can be used to remove the “Poison” status effect.
- Details:
- Recovery item which can be used from the menu screen or in battle by selecting the “Item” command.

Carob Nut

- Effect:
- Used Nuts to breed your Chocobos.
- Chocobo Effect:
- You can use a variety of Nuts to breed your Chocobos. However, you should follow the Chocobo Breeding and Racing guide to feed your Chocobos the best Nuts and breed the most powerful Chocobos.
Catastrophe
- Description:

- Effect:

Cauldron
- Description:
- “Uses [Poison/Confu/Sleepel/Silence/Small/Frog].”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Confuse”, “Frog”, “Mini”, “Poison”, “Silence” and “Sleep” status effect on the target. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Chaos

Curiel Greens
- Description:
- “When you want a Chocobo…”
- Effect:
- If you use it on one of your own characters it will heal them for 100 HP.
- Chocobo Effect:
- These Greens will prevent a Chocobo from running away for 5 turns. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase the Chocobo’s Speed and Intelligence.
Dazers
- Description:
- “Paralyzes one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Paralyze” status effect on the target. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Deadly Waste
- Description:
- “Uses “Bio2” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Bio2 magic on all targets. This has a 20% chance of inflicting the “Poison” status effect on the targets.
Dragon Fang
- Description:
- “Lightning damage against all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Deals lightning-based magic damage to all targets for approximately 2,400 HP.
Dragon Scales
- Description:
- “Water damage on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts the “Aqualung” magic spell on all enemies for approximately 3,680 HP worth of damage.
Dream Powder
- Description:
- “Uses “Sleepel” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Sleep” status effect on all targets. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Earth Drum
- Description:
- “Uses “Quake2” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Quake2 magic on all targets. This will inflict earth-based magic on the target equal to roughly 640 HP.
Earth Mallet
- Description:
- “Uses “Quake3” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Quake3 magic on all targets. This will inflict earth-based magic on the target equal to roughly 2,560 HP.
Echo Screen

Fire Fang
- Description:
- “Uses “Fire2” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Fire2 magic on an all targets. This will inflict fire-based magic on the target equal to roughly 960 HP.
Fire Veil
- Description:
- “Uses “Fire3” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Fire3 magic on all targets. This will inflict fire-based magic on the target equal to roughly 1,200 HP.
Ghost Hand
- Description:
- “Drains MP out of one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Drains the MP from one opponent. This will likely have little effects on most enemies and bosses.
Graviball
- Description:
- “Uses “Demi” against one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Casts Demi magic on a single target. This will hit most enemies (with the exception of many bosses) for approximately 25% of their HP.
Great Gospel
- Description:
- “Learn Limit Skill “Great Gospel”.”
- Effect:
- This item can be used to teach Aeris her Level 4 Limit Break. Check out Aeris’s Limit Break section for additional details.
Grenade
- Description:
- “Explosive damage against one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Inflicts physical damage to one target. It hits one enemy for approximately 160 HP.
Guard Source
- Description:
- “Raises [Vitality].”
- Effect:
- Raises the character’s Vitality stat permanently by 1 point. Vitality reduces the amount of damage done by physical attacks.
Gysahl Greens
- Description:
- “When you want a Chocobo…”
- Effect:
- If you use it on one of your own characters it will heal them for 100 HP.
- Chocobo Effect:
- These Greens will keep a Chocobo busy for 2 turns in battle. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase the Chocobo’s Speed and Stamina.
Hero Drink
- Description:
- “Raises ability once during battle.”
- Effect:
- This item will raise the Defense, Magic, Spirit and Strength of the character who drinks it by 30%.

- “Uses DeSpell on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- This item will invoke the “DeSpell” spell which will remove the following statuses from the target: “Barrier”, “Haste”, “MBarrier”, “Mini”, “Reflect”, “Regen”, “Shield”, “Slow” and “Stop”.

Hourglass
- Description:
- “Stops all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Stop” status effect on all targets. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Hyper
- Description:
- “Cures [Sadness].”
- Effect:
- Can be used to remove the “Sadness” status effect. Using it when a character has “Sadness” will remove that status while using it again on a character who does not have that status will inflict them with the “Fury” status effect which reduces their hit rate but increases their Limit Break charge rate.

- Casts Ice3 magic on all targets. This will inflict ice-based magic on the target equal to roughly 2,080 HP.
Impaler
- Description:
- “Changes one opponent to a frog.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Frog” status effect on the target. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Ink
- Description:
- “Uses [Darkness] against one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Darkness” status effect on the target. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Kiss of Death
- Description:
- “Uses “Death” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Inflicts the “Instant Death” status effect to all targets. There is a 68% chance that it will be successful and it will not work on high level enemies or bosses (as they are immune to “Instant Death”).
Krakka Greens
- Description:
- “When you want a Chocobo…”
- Effect:
- If you use it on one of your own characters it will heal them for 100 HP.
- Chocobo Effect:
- These Greens will reduce a Chocobo’s chance of escaping from you in battle by 66%. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase the Chocobo’s Intelligence.
Lasan Nut
- Description:
- “When you want to breed Chocobos…”
- Effect:
- Used Nuts to breed your Chocobos.
- Chocobo Effect:
- You can use a variety of Nuts to breed your Chocobos. However, you should follow the Chocobo Breeding and Racing guide to feed your Chocobos the best Nuts and breed the most powerful Chocobos.
Light Curtain

- These Greens will prevent a Chocobo from running away for 1 turn and allows the use of Chocobuckle on your Enemy Skill Materia. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase the Chocobo’s Speed and Stamina.
Mirror
- Description:
- “Creates [Reflect] around all allies.”
- Effect:
- This item can be used to cast a Reflect on your entire party. Reflect will bounce any spells cast on the player back at the enemy including any healing spells.
Mind Source
- Description:
- “Raises [Spirit].”
- Effect:
- Raises the character’s Spirit stat permanently by 1 point. Spirit increases a character’s defense against magic-based attacks.
Molotov
- Description:
- “Fire damage on one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Inflicts fire-based magic damage on a single target. The damage is roughly equal to 400 HP.
Mute Mask
- Description:
- “Uses “Silence” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Silence” status effect on all targets. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Omnislash
- Description:
- “Learn Limit Skill “Omnislash”.”
- Effect:
- This item can be used to teach Cloud his Level 4 Limit Break. Check out Cloud’s Limit Break section for additional details.
Phoenix Down
- Description:
- “Restores life.”
- Effect:
- Used to revive an ally when they have been KO’d.

- Causes the “Slow” status effect on all targets. Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
Stardust
- Description:
- “Uses “Comet2” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts the Comet2 magic spell on all targets. This will deal approximately 1,120 HP of damage to all enemies (four max).
Swift Bolt
- Description:
- “Uses “Bolt3” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Casts Bolt3 magic on all targets. This will inflict lightning-based magic on the target equal to roughly 1,200 HP.
Sylkis Greens
- Description:
- “When you want a Chocobo…”
- Effect:
- If you use it on one of your own characters it will heal them for 100 HP.
- Chocobo Effect:
- These Greens will prevent a Chocobo from running away for 1 turn and allows the use of Chocobuckle on your Enemy Skill Materia. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase all of the Chocobo’s stats. They are the most powerful Greens to feed to your Chocobo.
T/S Bomb
- Description:
- “Uses “Demi2” against one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Casts Demi2 magic on a single target. This will hit most enemies (with the exception of many bosses) for approximately 50% of their HP.
Tantal Greens
- Description:
- “When you want a Chocobo…”
- Effect:
- If you use it on one of your own characters it will heal them for 100 HP.
- Chocobo Effect:
- These Greens will keep a Chocobo busy in battle for 3 turns. If you feed it to one of your Chocobo’s at the Chocobo Farm it will increase the Chocobo’s Stamina, Speed and Intelligence.
Tent
- Description:
- “Restores ally’s max HP/MP. Use at Save Point.”
- Effect:

Vagyrisk Claw
- Description:
- “Petrifies one opponent.”
- Effect:

Vampire Fang
- Description:
- “Drains HP out of one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Drains HP from an enemy and refills the user’s HP. Drains approximately 192 HP.
War Gong
- Description:
- “Uses “Berserk” on all opponents.”
- Effect:
- Causes the “Berserk” status effect on all targets (80% chance to work). Note that many bosses and high-level enemies are immune to this status effect.
X-Potion
- Description:
- “Fully restores HP.”
- Effect:

1/35 Soldier
- Description:
- “Shinra armored “attack” soldiers: 12 in the set.”
- Effect:
- Contrary to what the description says, there are only two that you can find in the game. These items serve no purpose in the game.
8-inch Cannon
- Description:
- “Explosive damage against one opponent.”
- Effect:
- Deals physical damage to one target. This item deals a fairly heavy amount of damage compared to other items at roughly 3,200 HP.
