Floral Fallal

Special Dresspheres can only be used by one character (in this case, Yuna) and need to be activated by activating every node on a Garment Grid. Activating the Special Dressphere will chase Rikku and Paine off the battle field, and you’ll gain control of the Floral Flower, the Left Pistil, and the Right Pistil.

Overview

Floral Fallal is built to control the whole battlefield at once. The core is where the damage comes from, and most of what it does hits every enemy rather than one, ending in Great Whirl, so the form is at its best against crowds and at its weakest against a single target with a lot of HP. It also carries All-Life, which is Floral Fallal’s recovery ability, allowing it to revive any knocked-out Pistils back with full HP.

The two Pistils are able to provide support to the core. The Right Pistil keeps the Floral Fallal alive by handling healing and buffs, while the Left Pistil helps to deal damage to the enemy by stacking status ailments. Each Pistil has an attack of its own, though, so neither is stuck waiting around on their turn.

All three forms share the same set of defensive auto-abilities, and two of the best ones are locked behind key items rather than AP. Once you gain access to Aurora Rain and Twilight Rain, Yuna’s Special Dressphere becomes even more powerful.

The annoying aspect for all Special Dresspheres are the steps you have to take to activate them and how slowly they gain Ability Points (AP). You'll have to jump through Dresspheres and Garment Grids, and then only Yuna’s Special Dressphere will gain AP since Rikku and Paine will be chased off the battlefield.

How to Obtain It

You can find Floral Fallal in Chapter 2 on along the Djose Highroad. Picking it up is part of the Mission that takes place in this area in Chapter 2:

Using a Special Dressphere
Helpful Hint

Special Dresspheres can’t be placed on the Garment Grid, so you can’t simply spherechange into one. During a battle, change into every Dressphere on the party member’s equipped Garment Grid once. After you’ve activated them all, open the Garment Grid one more time and press and then to transform.
