Guadosalam and Thunder Plains

A short cutscene plays when you arrive in Guadosalam. There is a shop you can visit in this area, but aside from that, there really isn’t much you can do here in Chapter 1. Head up to the top level and attempt to enter the Farplane for a quick scene.

And that’s everything you can do in Guadosalam. Head back to the Save Sphere on the bottom level. This time, you don’t actually have to warp up to the Celsius and warp back down, because the entrance to your next destination is directly down the hallway from the Save Sphere. Follow it until you reach the Thunder Plains.

Thunder Plains

Welcome back to the Thunder Plains! Once again, your only purpose for coming to the Thunder Plains is that it kicks off a short cutscene that you need to earn 100% Story Completion. And that cutscene kicks off as soon as you enter, when Yuna says, “Guess what! Rikku finally overcame her fear of thunder.”

However, that being said, the Thunder Plains are huge, and it’s full of treasure chests that you can pick up. And if you do decide to pick up the treasure chests, you can earn some EXP and spend some time leveling up your newer Dresspheres, like the Black Mage, White Mage, or Gun Mage.

Once again, your next location is a place you can walk to! Head to the far north end of the Thunder Plains, and you can head straight to Macalania Woods.
