Calm Lands

As soon as you arrive in the Calm Lands, a scene will play out between the two competing companies, Open Air, Inc. and Argent, Inc. If it wasn’t obvious to you when you were touring around the Calm Lands, it should be pretty clear now that you were either siding with the ‘young guns’ or ‘team old.’

As long as you managed to obtain a Publicity score during your travels of over 400 points, this cutscene will trigger with Tobli arriving on the scene, where he’ll say…

Tobli arrives on a hover and tells the group a bunch of things.

As a reminder, the score you have during this scene depends on how much of the Publicity and Marriage Campaign side quest you completed.

Along with an “Episode Complete,” several changes will be made to the attractions here in the Calm Lands. Open Air and Argent credits will be combined, there will only be one attendant per attraction, and there are more hover stops to help you travel more quickly between each of the games.

Speaking of which, if you would like to play any of the games while you are here, check out the side quest page below, but be aware that playing them is entirely optional and not required for 100% Story Completion or any achievements/trophies.

As with the other Episode Complete screens, you’ll automatically be teleported back up to the Celsius, so warp back down to the Calm Lands. This will place you at the Travel Agency in the center of the Calm Lands. Look for the treasure chest on the hill in the back that you saw during one of the CommSphere sequences (which contains 50,000 Gil).

Talk to the man who gave you the Marriage Campaign, and he’ll ask you whether you’ve seen 50,000 Gil lying around. Answer honestly with “Actually, I did,” and he’ll give you a Silver Accessory IconSword Lore accessory as a reward; the other answer gets you nothing (though you keep the Gil either way).

Speak to the man behind the counter again to complete the Marriage Campaign side quest. If your matchmaking score passed 30 points over the previous chapters, he rewards you with a Gold Accessory IconSpeed Bracer accessory. If your score is lower than 30, you’ll obtain an Item IconElixir instead. The Speed Bracer provides Ability IconAuto-Haste for whichever character wears it.

While you’re here, make one more trip into the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth, and into the Chamber of the Fayth, where you fought Yojimbo. This cave now holds the Key Item IconAurora Rain, the second of the two key items that power up Yuna’s Floral Fallal Dressphere IconFloral Fallal.

Next, talk to the little Chocobo here at the Travel Agency to warp to the Chocobo Ranch.

Chocobo Ranch

You have reached the last chapter of the game, so it’s time to spend some time capturing Chocobos, raising Chocobos, and sending your Chocobos out into the world. This is a bit of a time-consuming task, but you’ll need to send Chocobos to different locations to complete all of the following:

  • Unlocking the “Central Expanse” dig location in the Bikanel Desert
  • Unlocking the Fiend Colony location along the Mi’ihen Highroad
  • Unlocking the Ruin Depths location right in the Chocobo Ranch in the Calm Lands
  • Earn the Silver Trophy IconChocobo Whisperer Achievement/Trophy by catching an “Amazing Chocobo”

Why should you do this now? We’re about to head to Bikanel Desert and do some digging, which is much easier if you have access to the Central Expanse (where you can ride a Chocobo while you dig). Eventually, you’re going to want to go to the Fiend Colony and Ruin Depths, too, so it’s time to get everything ‘Chocobo-related’ out of the way. Check out the Chocobo Ranch page in the side quest section for more information:

The “Ruin Depths” dungeon in the Chocobo Ranch is also required for 100% Story Completion because one of the dialogue triggers is down inside it. Rescuing the Amazing Chocobo also earns its own “Episode Complete.” Take care of it while you’re here:

With these tasks out of the way, including a Chocobo having been sent to Bikanel Desert to open up the Central Expanse, you can now head to Djose Temple.
